About the Conductor
Emily Gervase
Mrs. Gervase, an Orchard Park High School graduate, is a versatile violinist and music educator. She has taught strings and directed the orchestras in the Pioneer School district since 2013. She is a graduate of the SUNY Fredonia School of Music and received her Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Masters Degree in Violin Performance.
Mrs. Gervase has studied with several master teachers of the violin such as Janet Sung, David Colwell, Charlie Castleman, and Ayke Agus. As a classical player, Mrs. Gervase has performed with orchestras as concertmaster and section violinist including the Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra, Western New York Chamber Orchestra, and Southern Tier Symphony. She has also performed with multi Juno award nominee Richard Abel.
Mrs. Gervase is proud to have the support of her parents William and Rebekah Staebell, husband Joseph Gervase, and her children Nicolina, Giovanna, and Rocco.
